What is Rosemary Oil?
Rosemary oil is a natural hair growth recipe made by infusing a carrier oil with rosemary leaves.
When applied to the scalp, it can stimulate hair growth, help thicken hair, and control dandruff.
TUTORIAL
To make this rosemary oil recipe, you'll need castor oil, MCT oil, vitamin E, and a large quantity of dried rosemary leaves.
1
2
In a small saucepan, combine rosemary leaves and carrier oils. Mix well to cover the herbs.
ADVICE
To avoid a moldy hair oil, please use dried rosemary! If you’d like to use fresh rosemary to make infused oil, please dry it first.
3
Add vitamin E to the rosemary oil mixture and mix thoroughly to combine.
4
Gently warm up the rosemary oil on the stovetop. Use medium-low heat to avoid scorching the oil or herbs.
5
Once the oil heats up, shut off the stove and place a lid over the pot to retain heat. Allow the oil to infuse for 1 hour.
Repeat this process 4 times: warm up the rosemary oil, give it a stir, then turn off the heat and allow it to infuse.
You'll know it's ready when the rosemary leaves look "cooked," and when the oil becomes golden and fragrant.
7
Once the oil cools, transfer it to a sealed jar. Place it in a cool, dark place to infuse for at least 2 weeks.
8
Once it's done infusing, strain out the rosemary leaves from your infused oil.
Transfer the oil to a glass dropper bottle for easy application. You just made DIY rosemary oil for hair growth!
